This is one of the varieties of the blood oranges. Dark color of blood oranges comes from the presence of anthocyanins, a type of polyphenol pigments commonly found in many flowers and fruit, but uncommon in citrus fruits. Raspberry oranges are known as one of the highest sources of Vitamin C.
